The Odlum Brown VanOpen is pleased to announce the women’s official player entry list for the $225,000 USD WTA 125 event, July 25 – August 1, at Hollyburn Country Club.

The women’s main draw list is among the strongest ever, with nine top 150-ranked players, including World No. 99 Lanlana Tararudee of Thailand.

Tararudee has quickly risen to prominence, officially becoming her country’s top singles player earlier this year. The 21-year-old secured her biggest career milestone to date by capturing her first WTA 125 crown at the Austin Challenger in March, building on a strong foundation of six ITF singles titles won across 2023 and 2024. She broke into a Grand Slam main draw for the first time at this year’s Australian Open and made it to the second round at Wimbledon, solidifying her status as a major young talent on the global tour.

“It is incredibly exciting to have our event back on the WTA calendar, and the quality of the player field speaks for itself,” said Odlum Brown Tournament Director Rik de Voest. “We’re seeing a mix of rising global talent and quite a few familiar faces returning to Hollyburn Country Club, which really shows how much the players love coming to Vancouver and competing in front of our local fans.”

“We’re also just as thrilled to watch the younger players in the draw. There’s something special about seeing those future stars up close before they become household names at the top of the sport,” continued de Voest.

This year’s entry list boasts a truly global field, showcasing 23 players representing 10 different countries. Leading the international contingent are Australia and Japan with five players each, closely followed by four players from the United States. Canada, China, Thailand, and Belgium each feature multiple competitors, while Great Britain, France, and South Korea round out the diverse field.

Joining on the historic grass courts are Tararudee and compatriot Mananchaya Sawangkaew, alongside American qualifier Kayla Day and Great Britain’s own Harriet Dart. Their presence at the All-England Club underscores the world-class calibre of the athletes anchoring this year’s field in Vancouver.
